This Is What Recovery Looks Like

This spring as I have begun to write, one of the communities I have discovered is IndieInk.

Their weekly challenges to one another produce some of the best writing I have ever seen, and I have discovered several kindred spirits among the authors. I sit at their feet and soak up their ability to write out emotion metaphorically, and to use fiction as a way to express parts of their own stories without giving away real life details.

They are an amazing collective of artists, and I have been trying to gather up the courage to write alongside them.

I am both extremely humbled and very thrilled to announce that one of my poems was chosen by the editors for publication on their website.

Published.

On IndieInk.

Holy wow.

I would love for you to go read my submission, and to introduce you to the other writers and artists at IndieInk.
